Parents For Megan's Law, Inc. (PFML) is a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) community and victim's rights organization dedicated to the prevention and treatment of sexual abuse through the provision of education, advocacy, counseling, victims services policy and legislative support services. We also staff the National Megan's Law Helpline.

PFML has recently expanded its mission to include the new Crime Victims Center, a program designed to serve previously invisible victims of crime. Read more about our new program below.

EMAIL ALERT to inform parents and community members of the presence of registered offender
SURVEYS evalutaing the registration and notification components of Megan's Law in all 50 states.
EDUCATION regarding Megan's Law and abuse prevention
ADVOCACY for community members on sex offender issues
POLICY and LEGISLATIVE SUPPORT to close loopholes which make communities vulnerable to registered offfenders.
LITERATURE to educate the community regarding sex offender registration and notification laws.


RAPE CRISIS CENTER - Rape, Sexual Assault and Child Sexual Abuse 24 HOUR HOTLINE to assist vicitms of sexual assault PREVENTION EDUCATION for adults and children
VICTIM ADVOCACY - criminal justice, and personal advocacy including courtroom and medical accompanient.
COUNSELING and national referrals for children and familes of children who have been sexually abused.
TRAINING for law enforcment, prosecution, and those supervising sex offenders and and medical professionals.
POLICY and LEGISLATIVE SUPPORT to strengthen victim's rights
LITERATURE to educate and support victims.


CRIME VICTIMS CENTER (CVC)
The new Crime Victims Center provides vital information and multi-agency referrals to for support and assistance to victims of crime. CVC links victims of crime, and ederly and disabled victims of crime to the New York State Crime Victims Board for medical and essential property loss expenses. Services are provided to adult and child victims of assault, sexual assault, child physical and sexual abuse, motor vehicle (DWI), leaving the scene of an accident, stalking, kidnapping, human trafficking, terrorism, arson, robbery and burglary where there was a confrontation.
